Local Roots and Experience
During my first home purchase—at a time when Washington State did not yet license home inspectors or have established standards of practice—I recognized the need for a more detail-driven, client-focused inspection process. That experience led me to establish Associated Inspection Firm with that standard in mind.
I grew up around construction sites in Clark County and continue to live in Vancouver with my wife and children.
After high school, I started a manufacturing business that eventually grew to 15 employees. While the business was successful, the manufacturing environment and office work were not personally fulfilling. Home inspections provided the hands-on work and technical depth I was looking for.
I’ve always had a passion for building, creating, and understanding how things work. Today that curiosity translates into tracking down defects, analyzing construction practices, and explaining how building methods have evolved—providing context that helps clients understand what matters and why.
Outside of Inspecting
I am a passionate sport fisherman. I don’t fish to relax—I fish for the hunt and the challenge, the same mindset I bring to every inspection.
Values You Can Trust
I was raised with a simple standard: “Do it right the first time, or don’t do it at all.”
My approach to homeownership is maintenance-forward—addressing issues early to preserve equity, reduce frustration, and maintain a healthy living environment.
Practical Experience. Professional Insight
Having bought, sold, flipped, and invested in property, I understand how costly missed details can be. With more than 20 years as a full-time home inspector, I have the experience and drive to uncover meaningful defects that influence purchase decisions.
